OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY (OHS) POLICY
AT SPRING-WAD ROMAN KSIĄŻEK




One of the main objectives of the Management is to ensure appropriate occupational health and safety (OHS) standards and to prevent accidents and occupational diseases. All employees at all positions are responsible for maintaining OHS standards. Any identified deficiencies or irregularities should be reported to supervisors or directly to the Management, which is committed to continuously improving OHS standards. This policy also takes into account the impact on surrounding communities and the natural environment.

 

Compliance with Legal Regulations and Instructions

SPRING-WAD ROMAN KSIĄŻEK ensures full compliance with OHS regulations in accordance with legal requirements. Employees receive safety instructions regarding the workplace. Clear OHS instructions are displayed in easily accessible locations, appropriate to the specific hazards.

 

OHS Training

All employees participate in OHS training, which also includes fire safety training. Training in first aid is also organized for employees. All training is conducted under the supervision of a qualified specialist.

 

Health and Rest

SPRING-WAD ROMAN KSIĄŻEK directs employees to undergo initial and periodic medical examinations considering the hazardous/harmful factors associated with their work positions. Employees are provided with opportunities for rest by adhering to the required daily rest periods and vacation entitlements.

 

Personal Protective Equipment

The company provides employees with individual personal protective equipment (PPE) in accordance with the requirements and nature of the work performed at positions that require such equipment. Employees are obligated to use this equipment. In case of any defects or damage to the PPE, the employee must stop working and report the issue to the foreman in order to receive functioning equipment.

 

Safety when Operating Machines and Equipment

Employees working with machines and equipment must be trained in their safe operation. When working with machines and equipment, employees must use the appropriate personal protective equipment.

 

Workplace Ergonomics

SPRING-WAD ROMAN KSIĄŻEK arranges all workstations in compliance with regulations and standards regarding ergonomics.

 

Emergency Situations

In the event of an emergency, such as an accident, fire, chemical or biological contamination, criminal activity, each employee is obligated to alert people in the danger zone, secure assistance from others, and call the relevant emergency services. Efforts should be made to minimize the negative consequences of the incident. In case of health or life-threatening situations, immediate first aid should be provided. The company ensures appropriate training. In the case of any extraordinary incidents, it is necessary to notify the supervisor, and in case of danger to health or life, also the HR department and OHS specialist. The company's Management conducts an analysis of extraordinary incidents and implements corrective actions. Emergency contact numbers and evacuation route maps are displayed in visible locations.

 

Fire Protection

All company buildings are equipped with fire protection systems or equipment. Regular inspections of the equipment are carried out by qualified specialists.
